What we achieved together: 2025 year-end impact
As we reflect on the past year, one thing stands out above all else: our community made healing possible for hundreds of people who needed support. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, partners, interns, volunteers and incredible team, we expanded our services in meaningful ways and reached more individuals and families than ever before. Here’s a look at what we achieved.
More people reached. More lives changed.
This year, we had the privilege of supporting over 500 clients—an incredible milestone for our organization. In total, our counselling interns delivered 2,400 counselling sessions, marking a 37% increase from last year.
This growth isn’t just a number. It represents real people receiving timely, compassionate care during some of the hardest moments of their lives. It represents fewer barriers, shorter wait times and more access to healing.
Expanding our team to meet growing need
With increased funding and community support, we were able to bring on 16 new counselling interns, strengthening our capacity and ensuring more clients could access free and low-cost care.
Our interns play a vital role in our organization, bringing passion, fresh perspectives and a commitment to serving those who often fall through the cracks of traditional systems.
At the same time, we act as a teaching clinic, providing invaluable, hands-on experience for the next generation of mental health professionals. This year our team engaged in 186 hours of professional development and clinical trainings.
Growing our impact beyond the therapy room
This year, we delivered 22 community workshops to local businesses, schools and community organizations. These sessions focused on topics like mental health awareness, stress management and building supportive workplaces and classrooms.
We also formed 13 new community partnerships, allowing us to remove more barriers to access by bringing mental health care to community organizations where potential clients are already going. We want to meet people where they’re at—physically, and in their mental health journey too.
Reaching Arabic youth with free counselling
One of our proudest accomplishments this year was launching a brand-new free counselling program for Arabic youth—the only Arabic counselling service in the province.
This initiative fills a crucial gap for young people who speak Arabic and may face cultural or language barriers when accessing mental health support. By offering care in the language and context that feels most comfortable, we’re helping remove shame, stigma and isolation for youth who need compassionate support.
A record-breaking year for community generosity
Our second annual fundraiser, A Sweet Night for Mental Health, was even bigger than last year, raising an astonishing $57,000!
These funds directly fuel our ability to keep therapy affordable, expand our programs and meet the rising demand for mental health services across our community. We are deeply grateful to every donor and sponsor who believes in our mission and contributed to our successful event.
Looking ahead
As we enter a new year, our commitment remains the same: to ensure that mental health support is accessible, inclusive and rooted in dignity for every person who walks through our doors—or meets us where they are.
Thank you for standing beside us, believing in this work and helping us create real, lasting change. Here’s to another year of compassion, connection and community healing.
