Mental Health Support for Youth, Young Adults & Families

Growing up comes with challenges—and for many youth and young adults, those challenges can feel overwhelming. Whether it’s anxiety, school stress, family changes, identity exploration, peer pressure or grief, mental health matters at every age and stage.

At Just Us, we offer free and low-cost counselling services designed to support youth ages 10–25 across New Brunswick. Our goal is to create safe, welcoming spaces where youth and young adults feel seen, heard and supported.

What is Youth Counselling?

Youth counselling provides a confidential, judgment-free space to talk about whatever is going on—whether you're feeling anxious, disconnected, frustrated, uncertain or just need someone to talk to.

Our trained counselling interns, working under the supervision of licensed therapists, use a mix of approaches tailored to your age and needs. This might include talk therapy, creative expression, mindfulness strategies or trauma-informed support.

We also recognize that mental health doesn’t exist in a vacuum. That’s why we collaborate with families, caregivers and community supporters to make sure everyone has the tools and guidance they need.

Who We Support

We work with individuals who are:

  • Feeling anxious, down or emotionally overwhelmed

  • Dealing with bullying, social conflict or academic pressure

  • Navigating family stress, separation or loss

  • Exploring gender identity, sexuality or self-image

  • Healing from trauma, abuse or violence

  • Facing challenges with attention, behaviour or emotional regulation

  • Experiencing racism, discrimination or cultural disconnection

Whatever you're going through, you don’t have to go through it alone.

Youth and young adults reach out for all kinds of reasons. Some are navigating personal struggles or relationship issues. Others want help managing their emotions, building confidence or understanding their identity. You don’t need to be in crisis to ask for support.
