Syrus Daver
HE/HIM
Syrus Daver is finishing his Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. He has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Bachelor of Education in Elementary Education. Syrus works as a Behaviour Support Teacher in the public school system, helping students with behavioural, emotional, and learning challenges. He works closely with students, families, and teams to build supportive environments that encourage resilience, emotional regulation, and personal growth.
Syrus brings a calm and collaborative approach to counselling. He believes meaningful change starts with a strong relationship based on trust, respect, and authenticity. He aims to create a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, and supported as they share their experiences.
Syrus uses client-centred and solution-focused approaches, working with clients to understand their experiences, build on their strengths, and find practical ways forward. His background in education gives him insight into anxiety, emotional regulation, identity development, and the challenges people face during times of change.
Syrus approaches counselling with curiosity, openness, and respect for each person’s unique story. He works to create a space where clients feel supported as they understand their experiences and move toward changes that matter to them.
Syrus is based in our Saint John office and his internship ends in December 2026.

Breanna LeBlanc
SHE/HER
Breanna is a compassionate and dedicated counselling student committed to supporting individuals in building resilience, clarity, and self-understanding. She takes a warm, strengths-based, and collaborative approach to her work, striving to create a space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. Breanna is particularly passionate about working with young adults, students, and members of the LGBTQ+ community, as well as individuals navigating anxiety, burnout, and significant life transitions.
Breanna holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of New Brunswick Saint John, where she double majored in Psychology and Biology. She is currently completing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology with Yorkville University and will finish her practicum in December 2026. Her academic background in both the biological and psychological sciences inform her holistic understanding of mental health and well-being.
Breanna values meeting clients where they are and recognizes that each person’s experiences and goals are unique. Rather than adhering rigidly to a single theoretical orientation, she integrates evidence-based perspectives and tailors her approach to best support each individual’s needs. She is especially interested in helping clients strengthen self-confidence, manage stress and anxiety, and navigate evolving academic, personal, and relational challenges.
Outside of her professional work, Breanna enjoys traveling, playing rugby, and reading.
Breanna is based in our Saint John office and will finish her internship in December 2026.

Rabab Salaheddine
SHE/HER
Rabab holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and is currently completing a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University.
Rabab brings a thoughtful, culturally responsive, and compassionate presence to her counselling work. She is committed to creating a safe, collaborative space where clients feel heard, respected, and supported as they navigate life’s challenges. She values meeting individuals where they are and believes that meaningful change can happen through both gentle exploration and practical, goal-oriented work.
Having grown up in Lebanon and later immigrated to Canada as a teenager, Rabab brings a strong appreciation for the role of culture, identity, and family systems in mental health. She is fluently bilingual in Arabic and English, which allows her to offer culturally and linguistically responsive support to clients from diverse backgrounds. Her lived experience, combined with her professional training, allows her to approach counselling with cultural humility, curiosity, and sensitivity to diverse worldviews.
She is especially interested in supporting individuals experiencing burnout, life transitions, emotional regulation challenges, and stress related to family and cultural dynamics.
Rabab’s approach is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and a strengths-based perspective. She strives to empower clients by helping them reconnect with their resilience, values, and inner resources, while offering structure and support along the way.
Rabab is based in our Fredericton office. Her internship ends in December 2026.

Holly McLaughlin
SHE/HER
Holly is a counselling intern who values creating a safe and supportive space where clients feel comfortable sharing their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. She believes a strong therapeutic relationship is an important foundation for meaningful change.
Holly holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of New Brunswick and is currently completing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. Through her training, she has developed an interest in supporting individuals navigating trauma, stress and burnout, and relational dynamics.
Holly is particularly interested in helping clients better understand their experiences and find healthy ways to cope with life’s challenges. She works collaboratively with clients to explore what they’re going through and support them in making meaningful changes in their lives.
Holly is based in our Saint John office and her internship ends in December 2026.

Kassie Yarn
SHE/HER
Kassie is completing her Master’s in Counselling Psychology and practices from a non-judgmental, inclusive, and LGBTQIA+ affirming lens.
She has experience supporting individuals in vulnerable situations, particularly those navigating grief, anxiety, major life transitions, and stress management challenges. Kassie understands that these experiences can be demanding, emotionally draining, and at times isolating.
No matter the season of life, she provides a safe and supportive space for clients to explore their experiences and work toward meaningful change. Her approach is informed by person-centred values and integrates mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and family systems perspectives. Kassie believes clients already hold many of the strengths and tools needed for change and works collaboratively to help them access and build on that potential.

Melanie Evermore
SHE/HER
Melanie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Winnipeg and an Honours Bachelor of Social Work from Lakehead University. She is currently completing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University.
Melanie is a compassionate, inclusive and grounded professional who takes a strength-based, person-centred approach to counselling. She focuses on empowering her clients to lean into
their inner strengths to cultivate their innate wisdom and build resilience to face life’s challenges and transitions. She takes a holistic approach to therapy, incorporating the healing power of nature, yoga, creativity and mindfulness meditation, of which she is a certified teacher.
Melanie will be located at both our Fredericton and Saint John offices and will finish her internship in August 2026.

Kamala Fox
SHE/HER
Kamala is a Licensed Counselling Therapist - Candidate who brings warmth, compassion and authenticity to her work with clients, offering a space where healing and growth can unfold. She holds a Bachelor Degree in Psychology from the University of New Brunswick as well as a Bachelor of Education from the University of Maine.
Kamala views therapy as a collaborative partnership, working with clients to address concerns such anxiety and depression, stress management, grief and loss, life transitions, relationship challenges, burnout and parenting stress. She draws from a range of evidence based therapeutic approaches to create individualized and holistic treatment plans that honor the mind-body connection. Her approach is rooted in empathy, curiosity and deep respect for each individual's unique life experiences.
Kamala believes deeply in the strength and resilience of her clients. She is passionate about helping clients process difficult experiences, explore new perspectives, develop greater self awareness, build practical skills and reconnect with their sense of purpose. Her goal is to help clients feel empowered and supported as they create lasting change. She is committed to her own continuous learning and personal growth to best support those she works with.

Hailey Shanklin

Hailey exemplifies empathy, respect, and a genuine humanistic presence, backed by a robust background in mental health support and skill-building programming. As she completes her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University, she fosters a safe and supportive environment that prioritizes an integrative approach. Her approach encompasses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems, along with mindfulness and strength-based approaches.
Driven by compassion and personal experience, Hailey enjoys working with clients experiencing life transitions or supporting relationship/ family connections by honoring client autonomy and focusing on meeting clients where they are in their journeys. Her commitment to being a supportive partner in their progress empowers clients to move forward with confidence and strength.

Jennifer Thomas

Jennifer received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of New Brunswick and is currently completing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology through Yorkville University.
She brings experience as a family support worker, where she supported children, adults, and families navigating mental health challenges and disabilities. In this role, Jennifer worked closely with families to offer guidance, compassion, and connection to community resources and services.
Jennifer values the power of listening, collaboration, and genuine human connection. With a strong interest in a client-centered approach, Jennifer takes the time to get to know each client and tailors a plan to best suit their individual needs. She offers a safe space for youth, adults, and couples to inspire hope and provide support through life’s challenges. You don’t have to carry this on your own.

Andrea Mendez
Andrea is a committed mental health counselling professional pursuing a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counselling at Kingswood University in Sussex, NB. Her academic journey began with a bachelor’s degree in theology and a minor in Christian Counselling, which has profoundly shaped her therapeutic approach and strengthened her dedication to serving clients from a compassionate, faith-centred perspective.
Throughout her training, Andrea has developed a solid foundation in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and refined essential micro skills for effective clinical mental health counselling, including attending, listening, observing, encouraging, and empathy. She believes that a therapeutic relationship rooted in compassion and understanding is vital for meaningful change in clients’ lives.
Andrea is excited to blend her academic knowledge with hands-on experience, which helps her grow as a compassionate clinician. This continuous journey allows her to better support and make a meaningful difference in the lives of the individuals and communities she cares about.
She wholeheartedly believes in using proven, evidence-based strategies to boost well-being and empower her clients every step of the way.
Andrea’s approach to clinical mental health counselling is holistic, integrating faith and spirituality with evidence-based practices. She strives to provide support that aligns with each client’s spiritual beliefs and values.

Noha Rabie
SHE/HER
Noha is an RP (Qualifying) under CRPO (The College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario), an LCT-C under CCTNB, and a CCC Canada-wide.
She is a bilingual therapist, fluent in both English and Arabic, with over 15 years of multicultural experience working and volunteering with diverse populations from a variety of backgrounds and cultures. In addition, she has more than 5 years of experience supporting underprivileged populations in different capacities across Canada.
Noha understands that the unique challenges people face can often be demanding, emotionally draining, and at times isolating. For those struggling to process emotions, manage thoughts, or navigate their actions, she provides a safe, non-judgmental, and supportive space to explore experiences, address both personal and professional needs, and develop strategies to enhance overall well-being.
She believes that there is no wrong doorway to living life—answers are already within us. By navigating inward, reframing thoughts, and regulating emotions, healing becomes possible. For Noha, recognizing triggers, raising self-awareness, and practicing mindfulness are key aspects of this process.
Noha is a full-time permanent staff member based in our Saint John office.
